Huron River Fund Endowment

You can help protect the Huron for future generations
by giving to the Huron River Fund.

photo of yellow wildflower The Huron River Fund is an endowment created by the Huron River Watershed Council to help ensure HRWC’s financial future – and help maintain a healthy beautiful river for years to come.

When you give to the Huron River Fund, your donations will be professionally and securely invested by the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation. Your contribution becomes a permanent part of the endowment, while returns on your investment go directly to help the river. Your gift can also provide financial and tax benefits for you, your loved ones, and your heirs.

It is a great way to leave a lasting legacy for the Huron, its communities, and future generations.

Charitable Gift Options
If you would like to donate to the Huron River Fund, you can do so in many ways—from giving a one-time contribution to leaving a gift in your will. Everyone’s situation is unique so talk to your bank, financial planner, or attorney about naming the Huron River Fund to receive:

  • A specific dollar amount
  • A percentage of your estate’s value
  • A part or all of the reminder, residue of your estate bequest in your will or trust to provide a specific percentage of your estate for the river
  • All or part of the proceeds of your Life Insurance or Retirement Plan
  • A Life Income Gift such as a Charitable Remainder Trust
