   Laura Rubin, Executive Director, x12, e-mail:lrubin@hrwc.org
Laura joined HRWC in 1998 and oversees HRWC's programs, administration and fundraising. She also serves as HRWC spokesperson on local, regional and state committees and boards and works with the Board of Directors to set goals and policies for the organization to meet strategic plans. She earned a joint MBA and MS (in natural resource policy) at the University of Michigan. Laura lives in Allen's Creekshed.

Jennifer joined HRWC in 2006. She works part-time to handle HRWC's financial affairs. Jennifer earned a BBA at the University of Michigan and worked for several years at not-for-profit organizations. She lives in Traver Creekshed.

Pam came on board in 2007 to provide marketing support to several HRWC programs and to coordinate HRWC’s overall marketing efforts. She brings over 9 years of experience in marketing, public relations and sales to the organization. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan and her Juris Doctorate from the Michigan State University College of Law. Her commitment to protecting the watershed comes out of her childhood in Michigan spent boating, swimming and fishing. She lives in Allen Creekshed.

   Jo Latimore, Watershed Ecologist, x14, e-mail:jlatimore@hrwc.org
Jo joined HRWC in 2004. She analyzes and reports on the data collected by our Adopt-A-Stream volunteers and provides scientific and educational support to several HRWC programs and the Michigan Clean Water Corps (MiCorps). Jo earned her PhD in the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife at Michigan State University, focusing on watershed and fish community ecology. Her MS is from Notre Dame, where she studied stream macroinvertebrates and habitat. She lives in the Davis Creekshed.

   Ric Lawson, Watershed Planner, x13, e-mail:rlawson@hrwc.org
Ric joined HRWC staff in 2006, but has been volunteering for HRWC since 1999. He is primarily responsible for coordinating the implementation of watershed management plans in the upper, middle and lower sections of the watershed. He also helps coordinate monitoring in the watershed and throughout Michigan through the Michigan Clean Water Corps (MiCorps). Ric earned joint Masters Degrees in Environmental Management (MEM) and Public Policy (MPP) at Duke University. He lives in Allens Creekshed.

Joan joined HRWC in 1991. She engages people to participate in the study of river and stream ecological conditions. Joan earned a PhD (insect physiology) and MS (biology) at the University of Michigan. She lives in Fleming Creekshed.

Suzy has been volunteering for HRWC since 1997. She coordinates the monthly Land Use Planning for a Healthy Watershed Resource/Discussion Group. Suzy earned an ME (education) and has additional training in Land Use, Group Process, Faciliation and Conflict Resolution. She lives on the western edge of the watershed along a tiny tributary of Portage Creek.

Kris joined HRWC in 1992. She specializes in GIS analysis, landscape ecology, and code and ordinance development. Kris earned two MS (resource ecology, natural resource policy) at the University of Michigan. She lives in Traver Creekshed.

Cynthia joined HRWC in 1998. As HRWC's webmaster, she hopes to make the HRWC website more attractive to users. If you have an idea to improve the website, please e-mail her. Cynthia earned an MS (natural resource policy) at the University of Michigan. She lives in Malletts Creekshed.

Elizabeth joined HRWC in 1999. She currently manages the People And Land project Transfer of Development Rights in the Huron, and two U.S. EPA projects to protect and restore priority natural features in the Huron River Watershed. Elizabeth earned an MS (conservation biology and ecosystem management) at the University of Michigan. She lives in Malletts Creekshed.

Margaret joined HRWC in 2007. She has been a non-profit fundraiser since 1979, and is excited to bring her experience to HRWC's efforts to protect the Huron River for generations to come. Originally from Hamburg, NY, she grew up on a horse farm where she learned to love and appreciate nature. Margaret earned a Bachelor of Theatre Arts at Buffalo State College, Buffalo, NY and is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She lives in Allen Creekshed.
